FEMglocal’s booklet presentation and workshop

On April 8th, Daniel Cardoso, a researcher from the FEMglocal - Glocal feminist movements: interactions and contradictions research project, funded by the Foundation for Science and Technology (FCT) through national funds (PTDC/COM-CSS/4049/2021 / DOI 10.54499/PTDC/COM-CSS/4049/2021), organized a 90-minute presentation and workshop aimed at disseminating and highlighting the contents of FEMglocal’s booklet titled “History of Feminist Activisms in Portugal”. This session took place at Escola Artística António Arroio and attracted an audience of 50 individuals, including students and teachers from two 11th-grade classes and one 12th-grade class. Characterized by its interactive nature, the session sparked lively participation and garnered highly positive feedback from attendees.

This event is just one chapter in a broader series of gatherings taking place throughout Portugal. These presentations and workshops play a pivotal role in disseminating the fundamental concepts, historical narratives, and personal stories encapsulated in the booklet.

Through promoting an intersectional and inclusive dialogue, they have played a crucial role in deepening comprehension of feminisms and their intricate history within Portugal.
